|Isaac Rogers Sr. was born in Waterford Connecticut. He died in April 1849 in Sutters, California. He married (1) 1820 Elisabeth (Betsy) Tinker, daughter of Ezekial and Elisabeth Beebe Tinker. He married (2) Mary Miranda White of Middletown, New Jersey.
He was a preacher at the Seventh Day Baptist Church, and was called "Elder". Around 1846 he joined the Mormon church in New York City and then traveled to the Salt Lake Valley. He arrived in Salt Lake September 19, 1847 with Daniel Spencer Co.
An Isaac Rogers signed a petition May 29, 1837, at Kirtland, Ohio at Temple High Councilors meeting (page 484 Vo. 2. History of the Church.)
In 1848, Isaac Rogers Sr. went to California to mine for gold. He passed away in April 1949 at Sutter Fort, Sacramento, Calif, USA.
